This was a gift bulb from a wedding I went to in the middle of last year. I finally got around to planting it a few months ago and it finally bloomed. It's not well rooted in the soil so it's pretty much just leaning there against the wall, but it's a nice sunny day for it and I don't think it minds much.

I have been taking photos of me in my friends' band t-shirt [The Harvey Girls, go listen to them, they are excellent] and all the ones in the bright sunlight looked weird and blurry. However, I thought this was a decent way to show JUST HOW MUCH freaking SNOW there is here. A lot of snow. Lots.

I spent a good chunk of today and Sunday getting snow off the roof. I have been waiting for this snow to take the place of the snow I have removed and hopefully NOT take the porches down with it.

It's getting harder and harder to tell where the tree stops and the ground begins.

I got some of those supermagnets for holidaytime. My friends came to visit this weekend and I just noticed they left me a little magnet sculpture on the fridge. This is looking straight up, towards the ceiling, up the face of the fridge.
magnets, at an anglejessamyn posted a photo:
I got square ones and little discs. The discs are sort of neat because if you put them on the fridge a certain way they just ZIP down the front of it. I was really surprised these stayed on the front of the fridge this way. The ceiling in this photo is sort of off to the left.

Forrest and I took some time off from scraping snow off of our respective rooves to have a bit of lunch and coffee on his birthday.

Delicious, but underwhelming. Grade A fancy?! We drove up to Norwich to eat freepancakeS not free pancake (tiny).
no such thing as a free lunch, kidjessamyn posted a photo:
one is not a celebration. Don't get me wrong, I love King Arthur and their flour and their store, but why skimp on the pancakes?
Breaking the rulesjessamyn posted a photo:
to be fair, I was expecting larger pancakes. So, I had an extra one.

I like this plant behind me. The pool area is a great place for plants. It's eighty degrees and humid. Great place for me too, come to think of it.
only two people in the pooljessamyn posted a photo:
an hour or so earlier there were thirty people, several of whom were teenaged boys intent on killing each other by drowning, impalement, spine injury or getting their ass kicked by the fireman who they kept hitting with the ball they were tossing around.

There's a stained glass window of three cats that used to belong to Ola's daughter (I think?) that graces the window in the laundry room. It was made by Ola's late husband Finn.
